The Best Banana Pudding you will Ever Eat! (Guaranteed!)

OK, so I'm heading to the in-laws tonight for dinner. This is a Paula Deen recipe that I brought to a party a few weeks ago and it received a lot of fanfare...thought I'd give it another shot tonight!

I originally found this on Mommy's Kitchen which is a fantastic blog full of yummy recipes! The Paula Deen version is, of course, full of fat-a-licious ingredients, but I managed to make it a bit "lighter". As rich as this dessert ends up, you won't miss the extra calories, I promise!

Here's all the ingredients you'll need for happiness:

2 boxes of Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies
14 oz can of fat-free sweetened condensed milk
2 cups of milk
3-4 bananas (sliced)
8 oz light cream cheese (NOT FAT FREE!!!!! That stuff'll kill ya!)
Tub-O-Cool Whip
Small box of Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix (I rarely use Sugar free anything, but figured, what the heck!)

In a large mixing bowl, combine the pudding mix and milk until you have pudding (duh!)

In a second bowl, combine the cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk (YUM!)

Fold the contents of the small bowl into the large one, then add the Cool Whip. Try to control yourself...

Layer the bottom of a casserole dish with Chessmen

Then Bananas

Then half the pudding Mix

More Bananas

More Pudding

Top it all off with Chessmen! (There will be extras, 1 box is too few and 2 boxes are too many, but you'll have plenty of opportunity to sample you efforts prior to assembly!)

Enjoy! :)

Exercise

I don't really mind working out. Since I love to eat so much, working out is sort-of a necessity. However, getting out of bed this morning was tough....I told my husband that as soon as the alarm went off, I was going to "give myself a pass" and go back to sleep, but the next thing I knew I was in my workout gear and on the road to the gym. I think it has officially become a habit.
Now, if only eating healthy could become a habit....

Restaurant Review #1

Yes, I am dedicating my second EVER blog post to food.

I love to eat. I REALLY love to eat food that is good. And I ESPECIALLY love New Mexican food. That is why I am a huge fan of Golden Pride. I like it's affiliate (Frontier Restaurant), but I love Golden Pride. I LOVE Golden Pride! Can I get a shout-out for the Golden Pride?

I had to type the title one-handed as I was eating a #7 Breakfast Burrito at the time! They have, in my opinion, the tastiest Carne Adovada and Green Chile Stew in the state (available for purchase and not homemade of course!) As I have only used their drive-thru, I cannot account for the cleanliness or comfort of their interior, but their food is AWESOME!

I humbly endorse Golden Pride for food consumption.

Hello!

I have been wanting to do this for quite some time now. I am pretty computer-illiterate, but from everything I hear, this format is a no-brainer. (Even I can do it!)
As Facebook has begun to lose some of it's charm, I was seeking an outlet for all my "Martha Stewart quirks" and hoping to meet others who share my love for cooking, baking, reading, crafting, sewing, etc. and willing to share tips and recipes and ideas.
